Solar Panel Sizer helps solar installers and off-grid owners size a system and prepare a client quote. This policy explains what the app stores and who it talks to.
Your projects, client details, business details (including a logo you add), equipment prices and sizing preferences are stored in Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore) under your account. On first launch the app creates an anonymous account so your data is yours alone. You can optionally link Apple or Google sign-in to back the data up across devices; if you do, the email address of that account is stored with it.
If you tap "Use my location", the app sends the device's coordinates once to NASA POWER to look up the sun hours for that spot. When you save a project, its site location (the city or coordinates you chose) is saved with it so the numbers can be rebuilt. Location is never shared with anyone else or used for ads. Most lookups use the app's bundled offline table and send nothing.
Pro subscriptions are handled by Apple or Google and managed through RevenueCat. We never see your card details. RevenueCat receives a purchase token tied to your anonymous account id to unlock Pro.
We use Firebase Analytics to understand how the app is used, limited to these events: onboarding_complete, paywall_view, trial_start, purchase, core_action and export_pdf. We do not track you across other apps or sell any data. On mobile, crash reports are collected in release builds via Firebase Crashlytics.
You can delete your account and all its data in the app: tap your account at the top of Settings, then Delete account (as a guest: Settings → Delete my data), or by emailing us at codememory101@gmail.com. Deletion removes your projects, clients, business details and account from Firebase.
